Frequently Asked Questions

What is a turn-key marketing program?
A turn-key marketing program is similar to buying an "off the shelf" piece of software. Because I've marketed law firms for the last 10 years, I know what works. SO, I've created a set of websites, tested them, and made sure they bring you new clients.

Your turn-key website is exclusive to you and your State. If you license a Car Accident website for Utah, no other attorney in Utah will have your site. I only sell one site, per practice area, per State.

Why is a turn-key website better than a custom made website?
First, with a turn-key site, you do not need to do very much. Simply supply me with a couple items and, within a few days, your site will be up and running.

Second, a turn-key website is a solution to get you more business. It's not a "show-piece" or an online brochure. Sure, those "image" sites look good, but they don't actually bring you more business. In fact, for years, attorneys have been putting up websites. With VERY few exceptions, law firm websites make little to no money.

Another reason why a turn-key site is a better solution is that it costs less. Since I sell the same website 50 times, you're cost is lower. I've seen custom law firm websites cost as much as $8,000 or $10,000 just to get started. Then, you still don't know if the site will bring in new business.

How do I get traffic to my website?
You don't need to worry about that. As part of your website, I set up a traffic program to get people to your website who need you when they are at your website. In other words, I send people who are most likely to hire you to your website, where they get the information they need, along with a way to get immediate help.

You'll be able to see all your traffic numbers each month. There are no surprises. I control every possible variable I can, ensuring that you'll get qualified traffic to your site.

Will I be able to see the traffic that comes to my website?
Absolutely. You'll have 24/7 access with your own account to see how many visitors come to your site. Additionally, with the robust stats program, you'll have an amazing amount of information letting you know more then you could possibly want to know about those who are visiting your website. . . even down to their ISP and what City the visitor is located in.

Do I have to promote the website?
No, you don't have to. The traffic program I set up for you is where we expect the clients to come from.

However, some attorneys wish to increase their web traffic by promoting the website through their newsletter, press releases, or their business card, or a variety of other ways.

Will someone else in my state have the same website?
No. You'll be the only attorney in your state with the website in the practice area that you've licensed. This is an exclusive arrangement. If I licensed a bankruptcy website to you and two or three other lawyers in your state, it would render all the sites useless. It would dilute the amount of clients who contacted you and you'd not renew the site in the subsequent years.

I license one practice area to one lawyer in one state.

Do understand, however, that I will license the same site to a lawyer in another state. Because these sites are created to look state-specific, you will only have visitors coming to your site if they have a legal problem in your jurisdiction.

A visitor coming to your site will have no idea that you've licensed this site. It appears that this is your website.

Do I have to write anything or create anything for the website?
Not really. The whole idea behind a turn-key solution is to "plug in" the variables (your name, contact info, etc.) and generate the site.

You'll have to provide me with a complete bio, contact information, a good face picture and a couple minor items. You'll also need to record a welcome message that will be on the home page of your site.

My goal is to give you a website with as little involvement from you as possible. You're buying a "system" that will get you new clients. I'm not asking you to get "involved" in your marketing.

The last thing you'll need to do, is review the site to make sure you're satisfied with the site. Since the legal process may differ from state to state, we may have to tweak one of the documents.

Again, I do not want to burden you with work. I just want you to have a website that delivers you new business.

Do these websites comply with my state’s bar rules?
As with any marketing program, if you think there may be a question, you should contact your bar association to see what you need to do to make sure you're in compliance with their local rules.

Because some states have language that needs to be on your marketing material, we're happy to add that language you supply in the appropriate place(s) on your site.

What if I want to change the content on my website?
Since you're buying a turn-key solution, there's no reason to change much of the content. If you strongly disagree with an article, I can speak with you about removing it. However, we know the sites work "as is" and there's not reason to change the content.

Who owns the website?
You are licensing the website from me for a one year period. I own the content, system, and methods. You're licensing fee (which is extremely reasonable) covers your first year. Should you decide to renew your website, you'd pay a new licensing fee for the next year. You are licensing the website for one 12 month period at a time.

Additionally, I own the domain name that your website is located at. I also host the website.

Are there any monthly maintenance fees associated with a turn-key website?
You are not charged for domain names, hosting or "maintenance" fees. You'll pay $15.95 a month for two recurring charges, which are vital to the success of your site. These are billed directly to your credit card and I do not mark these items up.

Can I buy more than one area of practice?
Yes. Currently, I have auto accident, bankruptcy, divorce, drug defense, DUI, estate planning/elder law, federal criminal, real estate and sexual assault websites available for licensing. To find out if your state and practice area is available, please click here.

Do I have to maintain the website?
No. I host your website with 99.99% guaranteed access rate. Additionally, once the website is up, there's no content to update or changes to make, unless your contact information, such as address or email, changes.

Do you guarantee the website will get me new clients?
While no marketing program can actually be guaranteed, I will tell you that I've had no attorney cancel their website. Obviously, some months are busier than others and you'll have great months and "okay" months. Your first year licensing fee is non-refundable, as the first year fee is extremely reasonable.

How long can I keep the website?
As long as you choose, assuming you pay the yearly licensing fee. You have first right or refusal over the use of your website. To renew or cancel your website, you must notify my within the 10th month of your license date. If you do not notify me of renewal or cancel, I am able to license the site to your competitor.

The site is yours, unless you don't want it or don't pay me for it.

How long does the licensing fee let me have my website?
12 months from the date you pay me. Each licensing period is one full year. Should you decide to renew or cancel, simply tell me in your 10th month. Payment for renewal is due by the end of the 11th month. Any non-payment will result in your traffic being stopped and the website taken off the web and/or sold to one of your competitors.

Am I locked into a contract?
Absolutely not. If you don't want the website, tell me, and I'll take it off the web. With one site per state per practice area, these websites are not hard to "sell."

How much do I have to pay to renew my website?
Each website has a different renewal rate. You'll know the renewal rate up front. However, the renewal rate is significantly more than the first year licensing fee. You'll see why.

How do I pay for my website?
Simply print a check for the first year fees, then fax the check to my office. The only payment I accept is fax check.

What happens if I do not renew the website after the first year?
Nothing. The website will be taken off the web temporarily, put in inventory, and sold to one of your competitors. I reserve the right to supply new prospects with stat information from the site.

Can I make my own website, copying the websites you’ve designed?
Sure, you could copy what I'd done. It's not ethical or right, but you, in theory, could.

But, my websites are priced so low, that if you tried to create what I'd done, it would cost you three, four or five times the cost for which I license the sites. To write the 25 or so article on each site would take lots of your time, plus, you'd have to pay a website developer to put the site up for you. Also, you don't know why my websites make people hire you (these psychological tactics have been developed for many years.) Further, you do not know how I drive the traffic to each site.

The real answer is, sure, you could try to copy me, but it wouldn't be right of you, it would cost you more that I charge and in the end, you're site wouldn't bring you the volume of clients my turn-key solution will.
